How do I check in / check out?

 

We do not have a permanently-staffed reception; but we check you in by arrangement at any time convenient to you. Normally check-in is after 1500hrs, but we can make exceptions from time to time if you are arriving earlier. Checking out is simple;  By 1000hrs on your day of departure (again we can be flexible on that), simply lock the apartment and post the keys in the provided jiffy bag through the letter-box.  Emergency out of hours contact details are provided.

 

Is there parking?

We have dedicated underground parking spaces within a few metres of the entrance door.

 

Are there many stairs?

The apartments are on the ground-floor.  The parking spaces are underground down a ramp, and there is wheelchair access from the car-park.

 

Do I need to bring towels?

No; we provide all bed linen, kitchen linen and towels.

 

How can I pay?

All major credit cards, PayPal and Amex (Amex through PayPal), Cash, cheque or bank transfer

 

How many beds are there?

Each apartment has two bedrooms.  Each room has a double bed.

 

Do you provide a hair dryer?

Yes;  there is a hair dryer in each apartment.

 

Can we smoke in the apartment?

No; aberdeen-apartments operate a strict and total no-smoking policy.  The apartments are on the ground floor and near to the main exit doors onto the rear gardens where smoking is permitted.  As a place of work, it is also against the law to smoke in the apartments.  It is against the law to encourage or allow smoking in them.

 

How far is the Airport?

Approximately 20 minutes in a taxi in normal traffic, and around 45 minutes at rush-hour. 

  

How far is the Train Station?

Approximately 5 minutes walk via College Street. 

 

What is the maximum number of people allowed to stay in the apartment?

4 Staying Guests and 2 non-staying visitors (exceptions to this only with our written permission)


How close is the town centre?

A 7 minute walk to the top of Crown Street's junction with Union Street (by the Music Hall)

 

Are there any shops nearby for groceries?

There is an excellent 'corner shop' opposite the apartments for general groceries, wine and spirits, newspapers etc.  Open early till late (0600-2200). Supermarkets a short drive away.  The apartment information pack provides guidance.

 

Are there any restaurants, pubs or takeaways nearby?

The apartments are richly supported by an assortment of quality restaurants, bars and carry-outs nearby. The apartment information pack provides guidance and a map of local amenities. 

 

What is the cancellation policy? 

24 hours prior to arrival.

 
Do you accept Pets?  

We accept Guide Dogs - but regret that we do not normally allow other pets.

 
Are there cots for children?

Cots can be provided on request (no charge); a maximum of one cot per apartment)

 

Is there an internet service available in the apartment?

A 3G WiFi system is provided free of charge.  This can be connected wirelessly or by ethernet cable.


Is there a security deposit? 

A £250.00 deposit is collected for non-business weekend stays, or groups of more than 2 people Monday to Friday. This will be returned to you once the room is inspected after your stay, and providing there is no damage, evidence of smoking, or exceeding the occupancy limit.   The smoking rules are strictly enforced.
